Lake Manyara Safari

ALake Manyara Safariis often overlooked. However, we recommend you consider this enchanting and interesting park. Lake Manyara is a long thin park that consists mostly of water, with theGreat Rift ValleyEscarpment rising sharply and dramatically along the western side.

Lake Manyara is well known for itstree-climbing lionsbut doesn’t be surprised if they avoid you; they are elusive and this is probably not the best safari destination for viewing big cats. On a positive note, Lake Manyara is a great safari spot for bird viewing and also has a healthy population of ungulates such as buffalo and wildebeest.

Serengeti Safari

Go on aSerengeti Safariand experience a soul-stirring feeling of space. Serengeti comes from the Masai word meaning ‘Endless Plains’. It is these grasslands and savannahs that ensure that the area is jam-packed full of game. The Serengeti is well known for the wildebeest migration and every year two million animals move clockwise around this 14,763 sq km ecosystem in search of grazing and water.

Ngorongoro Safari

While on aNgorongoro Safarithe most amazing experience is viewing the crater for the first time. As your vehicle slowly ascends through mountain forests you will feel it getting colder and colder. Eventually, you reach the rim, and dropping sharply off in front of you is Ngorongoro Crater.

Ngorongoro Crater is the best self-contained safari destination in the world. Often referred to as the‘Garden of Eden’, the rich pasture and permanent water of the crater floor shelters a large population of animals. This is the site of a deep volcanic crater and the world’s largest unbroken caldera.

Tarangire Safari

Go on aTarangire Safariand experience the unrivalled landscape of open plains dotted with thousands of baobabs. Game viewing in Tarangire is largely affected by the presence of water, and during the dry season, many animals congregate here in search of it. On a Tarangire safari, you are also guaranteed to see large herds of elephants!

As a holiday destination, Tarangire is a lot less busy than other parks in the north of Tanzania. Going on a safari here offers you a chance to savor a real slice of Africa’s wilderness and solitude.

Itinerary

• Day 1:

  Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro international airport, meet African Travel representative and transfer to Arusha Joshmal hotel for overnight BB

• Day 2:

  After breakfast, drive to Tarangire national park with picnic lunch for a full day game viewing, late afternoon proceed to the lodge or to the public campsite for dinner and overnight.

• Day 3:

  After breakfast, drive to Serengeti national park with picnic lunch for a full day game viewing. late afternoon proceed to the lodge or to the public campsite for dinner and overnight.

• Day 4:

  Full day game viewing in the Serengeti national park (please add Serengeti full description again here, all meals inclusive. Overnight at lodge or at Public campsite.

• Day 5:

  Full day game viewing in the Serengeti national park (please add Serengeti full description again here, all meals inclusive. Overnight at lodge or at Public campsite.

• Day 6:

  Enjoy your last game viewing in the Serengeti national park, picnic lunch. and drive to Ngorongoro conservational area, dinner and overnight at the lodge or at the public campsite.

• Day 7:

  Today, after breakfast, descend down into the crater floor with picnic lunch for game viewing, afternoon proceeds to the lodge or to the public campsite for dinner and overnight.

• Day 8:

  After breakfast, drive to Tarangire national park with picnic lunch for a full day game viewing, late afternoon drive back to Arusha for drop off. End of services.
