Highlight

This tour will start and end in Nairobi. You will be picked up from the hotel lobby in Nairobi. The tour will be covering Amboseli, Lake Naivasha & the famous Maasai Mara, home to the Wildebeest Migration, the 7th Wonder of the World. It is home to Kenya's Big 5: The Lion, Elephant, Rhino, Leopard, and Buffalo. You will be able to enjoy a first class game viewing experience here in all the parks.

Itinerary

  • You will be met by our representative at the hotel and after a short tour briefing, transfer to Amboseli National Park, famous for its big game - elephants, lions and cheetahs are the main attractions - and for its great scenery beauty. Amboseli embodies five main wildlife habitats, plus a generally dry lake-bed - Lake Amboseli. These are open plains; extensive stands of yellow-barked acacia woodland; rocky, lava strewn thorn-bush country; swamps and marshes; and at the western end of the reserve, above Namanga, the massif of Ol Doinyo Orok rising to over 2,760m (8.300ft) and still for the most part zoologically unexplored. Enjoy your afternoon game drive at Amboseli National ark. Dinner & overnight at the lodge.

    Meal Plan {Lunch & Dinner}

    Accommodation: Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge

  • Spend the whole day at the park or morning and afternoon game drives. The game drives take us in search of the diverse wildlife and birds drawn to the grasslands and seasonal flood plains of Amboseli, offering fantastic photographic opportunities. Depending on the guest, you could return early to the hotel to enjoy a refreshing swim and enjoy the views of the beautiful Mt. Kilimanjaro. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

    Meal Plan {Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner}

    Accommodation: Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge

  • Depart after your morning breakfast for Lake Naivasha. After lunch proceed to Lake Naivasha and go visit the Crescent Island Game Sanctuary - a peninsula or 'island' on the eastern side of Lake Naivasha. At the island, the guests will walk with the animals living in the sanctuary. After the walk, the guests will be taken out for a boat ride. During the ride, the guests will be taken to visit the many Hippos living in Lake Naivasha. Lake Naivasha is also an excellent place for bird-watching, with over 200+ species of birds, such as fish eagles, ospreys, lily-trotters, black crakes and a variety of herons. After the boat ride, the guests will return back at the resort for dinner & overnight.

    Meal Plan {Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner}

    Accommodation: Lake Naivasha Sawela Lodge

  • Depart after breakfast for Masai Mara Game Reserve. Wherever you go in the Mara you will see a frequent amount of wildlife such as Masai giraffe, baboons, warthogs, bat eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyena, topis, impala, wildebeest. Elephants, buffaloes, zebras and hippos also exist in great numbers. It is also common to see lions either basking after a heavy meal, or surveying the plains for their next meal. Cheetahs and leopards are harder to spot but are still reasonably common. The ultimate action here is without doubt the annual wildebeest exodus in July, August and September when millions of these grass eaters move north from the Serengeti in search of lusher grass before turning south again in October. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge/Camp.

    Meal Plan {Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner}

    Accommodation: Mara Simba Lodge

  • After breakfast, head out for full day game drive toward the Mara River. Carry picnic lunch box to have lunch by Mara River. Return to the hotel for dinner & overnight

    Optional Activities:

    • Early morning balloon safaris. You will be dropped off at the takeoff site by the balloon company and picked up from your landing site by our safari driver. Balloon safaris are a romantic and evocative way of experiencing the wilderness of East Africa, as you gracefully and silently fly over the plains teeming with herds of wildlife in the early morning. Typically, a balloon safari begins at break of dawn, about 6 am, and lasts for around 1 hour, during which you will fly over parts of the vast Masai Mara plain, seeing the magnificent wildlife below, spread over several square kilometers of the reserve. Balloon flights are available daily in Masai Mara and take off from designated sites where the disturbance to animals is kept to a minimum. The flight is followed by a champagne breakfast "in the bush", with a well laid out seating arrangement and waiters on hand, to give you a fitting final to your memorable flight in the wild . Then you will start a game drive again with our driver guide. Picnic lunch offers wonderful scenery. The lunch box is packed by the hotel you stay. After lunch you will continue with game drive. The cost is USD450 per adult.
    • In the afternoon game drive, you can visit a village of the Masai people to witness the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a poignant experience. The cost is USD 30 per adult.
