Itinerary

  • Pick up and transfer to Dar-es-salaam international airport for your flight. Pick up on your arrival at Kigoma airport and transfer to Ujiji village visit Dr Livingstone memorial centre. Ujiji is the oldest town in western Tanzania, located about 6 miles (10 km) south of Kigoma. Ujiji is the place where Richard Burton and John Speke first reached the shore of Lake Tanganyika in 1858. It is the site of the famous meeting on 10 November 1871 when Henry Stanley found Dr David Livingstone, and reputedly uttered the famous words “Dr Livingstone, I presume?” Livingstone, whom many thought dead as no news had been heard of him for several years. A monument is known as the "Dr Livingstone Memorial" was erected in here to commemorate the meeting. There is also a modest museum. There is a former slave route near the market. Pick up and transfer to the hotel, meet a professional diver for briefing. Dinner and overnight. B/B.

  • In the morning after breakfast, pick up and transfer to the lakeshore ready to start diving in Lake Tanganyika. You will have double dive and you will be accompanied by George Kazumbe the professional diver. Dinner and overnight B/B.

  • 08:00 after breakfast pick up and transfer to Gombe, accompanied by the guide start chimpanzee trekking in the forest and visit Kakombe waterfalls. Gombe Stream’s high levels of diversity make it an increasingly popular tourist destination. Besides chimpanzees, primates inhabiting Gombe Stream include beachcomber olive baboons, red colobus, red-tailed monkeys, blue monkeys, and vervet monkeys. Red-tailed monkeys and blue monkeys have also been known to hybridize in the area. The park is also home to over 200 bird species and bush pigs. Back to the guest house for late lunch, evening time go swimming at Lake Tanganyika.Dinner and overnight F/B.

  • After breakfasts, At 08:00 go for Chimpanzee trekking, Climb to Jane Goodall’s peak, back to the guest house for lunch then leisure at the beach. Dinner and overnight F/B.

  • In the morning after breakfast pick up and transfer to Kigoma, Pick up on your arrival and transfer to Lagosa village where you will take a boat to Mahale mountain national park. Have a picnic lunch at Sigunga village before boating to Mahale. The boat will take approximately 3 to 4 hour. Arrival Mahale at evening time, take the room, enjoy the sunset and swimming over lake Tanganyika. Dinner and overnight at mango Bandas.

  • After breakfast. 08h00 start Chimpanzee tracking in the forest. The hike takes you to the chimp’s habitation areas are accessible and not strenuous, although being in good physical condition will ease the strain of walking through the jungle! Up close, observing the endangered primates is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Meals and overnight at Mango Bandas.

  • After breakfast, you go for Chimpanzee tracking. Mahale offers a number of outstanding attractions for visitors, from tracking wild habituated chimpanzees, to mountain climbing. Walking safaris in the beautiful, lowland forest allow close encounters with the vast array of birds and animals, including a group of habituated chimpanzees. The opportunity to track chimps in their natural habitat is Mahale's foremost tourist attraction. In the evening time, you will have time to do swimming and leisure at the beach. Meals and overnight at Mango Bandas.

  • Breakfast 07h00, After breakfast followed by boat transfer back to Lagosa village. Pick up on arrival and drive back to Kigoma town, have late lunch at the hotel, afternoon visit Dr Livingstone memorial centre at Ujiji village, dinner and overnight in Coast view resort hotel.

  • The morning after breakfast, pick up and transfer to the airport for your flight back to Dar.
